The Family Behind Glenn Family Crafting
Glenn Family Crafting is the home for the different things our family loves to build, paint, design, and create here in Central Oregon.
Dan focuses on the building and practical side of the business, including our handcrafted garden boxes and other hands-on projects. Brittany brings her creativity to Brittany’s Brushstrokes, where she creates custom artwork, murals, and window painting, and to Brit Signature Events, where she helps families and businesses bring gatherings together through rentals, decorating, concessions, setup, and event support.
Our kids are part of the process too. Whenever it makes sense, we involve them in age-appropriate ways so they can learn practical skills, problem-solving, responsibility, and the satisfaction that comes from making something with their own hands.
Some of what we do is seasonal and some is year-round, but the common thread is simple: we enjoy creating useful, meaningful, and memorable things together.
How It All Started
Glenn Family Crafting started while we were still in college. Between classes, raising a baby, and figuring out what came next, a Business major and a Studio Art major started making home décor signs together—often with a baby strapped to one of our backs. What began as a fun creative outlet quickly became something we genuinely enjoyed building together.
After graduation, we began hosting craft nights in our home and selling handmade goods at local street fairs. Over the years, that grew into a long list of woodworking and creative projects, including painting patterns, specialty wooden toys, handcrafted pens, family birthday calendars, and whatever else sparked our interest.
The first venture that really felt like it could become something bigger was our garden boxes. What started as another hands-on project became a yearly tradition and, nearly a decade later, remains one of the staples of Glenn Family Crafting.
After moving to Central Oregon, we also spent time in concessions. We loved being out in the community, meeting customers, and getting to know the incredible people and fellow vendors here. Those relationships opened new doors, including opportunities for Brittany to grow the artistic side of the business through custom paintings, murals, and window art.
And now another long-held dream is beginning to take shape. Before we were married, Brittany worked in party rentals and decorating and always hoped to return to that kind of work someday. The income generated through garden boxes, artwork, concessions, and our other projects has helped make Brit Signature Events possible.
Glenn Family Crafting has never been just one product or one type of work. It has grown with our family, our interests, and the opportunities that have come our way. The common thread has always been the same: we like creating things together, learning as we go, and turning good ideas into something real.
